Update 15:00 12th July, 2004
- Called City Solicitor, David Fletcher
(Emergency Planning Officer, Plymouth City Council) David.Fletcher@plymouth.gov.uk
01752 304847 who was apprehensive about discussing
details and tried to get me to write to MOD and DML for
info. After a little mind game, he did provide me with
Captain Binns' number 'Commander of Base Safety ' 01752
552788, however the phone line was dead as was 01752
553740 (MOD switchboard) ( Captain Binns is to be
suceeded by Captain Coulthard in the next few weeks)
- After a number of calls via internal DML and MOD lines
(HMS Raleigh 01752 811488) I contacted the MOD
- Called MOD and spoke to 'Commander of
Base Safety Secretary' who detailed that
- The meeting is from 9:30 am
Friday 16th @ Welcome Hall, Fore Street,
Devonport for 2 hours.
- The format of the meeting
is a liason amongst DML and the MOD to inform the
local authorities (Police, Councils, Health,
Envoronmnet etc. of any developments in a 'Public
venue' so there is no provision for public
participation.
- Persons may submit
questions to one of the panel :- see website for
commitee members. www.devonport.co.uk/about-local-liaison.htm or devllcom.htm
- I've requested details of the meetings format, scope and
participation in the event that there may be some way of
the public particiapting.
- Called DML on 01752 605665 and spoke to
Wendy Smith who confirmed the above and to whom I also
made a request for the meetings parameters.
