Communications with
Caradon District Council
over their participation in the Devonport Local Liason Commitee
12th July, 2004 (15:00)
From DML's website I found that Caradon provides three commitee members; The Chief Executive, Nick Mallard (Liskeard South) and T Moore (Torpoint East).
My queries to Rita Diggens (Legal Members Services Manager) 01579 341214 are;
a) Would it not be more appropriate to have a councillor from Calstock ward that abuts the River Tamar which is the conveyour of nuclear and toxic discharges from DML rather than Nick Mallard from Liskeard?
b) As a report from the environment agency showed that the highest level of tritium (radioactive hydrogen) was found in the waters of Calstock a local representative is more likey to take up the issues given their own and their fellow parishioners local standing.
c) Who would otherwise be the best representative to the DLLC to be approached by Calstock residents?
d) Mick Bullock attends for the Chief Executive (Davies): Secretary : Terresa Perry
Reply promised 13th July - didn't arrive.
